Gourmet Picnic & Wine Trail Package $65Talk with Rosalie, Your Innkeeper, to help you plan your own unique wine tasting trail, and feast on a delicious gourmet picnic during your journey. Add this package to your stay to satisfy your taste buds. During the spring, summer and fall, upon request, Rosalie will prepare a delectable picnic - just for the two of you - that you can take with you as you travel around the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside visiting one winery after another and tasting all the delightful wines PA Dutch Country offers. You can make up your own wine trail and then bring along your own gourmet picnic that Rosalie creates for you. Add the picnic, and two beautiful collectable wine glasses from one of our area wine events, (basket provided but not included in price) to your stay for $65.00.
"Birthday Celebrations!" $57Check this out! We arrange with Hershey's Chocolate World to bake you your own birthday cake! Imagine: Your cake baked by Hershey's bakers! Wait until you tell your friends. You can't get chocolate any fresher than this! Your own six inch, double layer, decorated birthday cake (please choose yellow, white, or chocolate cake and white or chocolate frosting) and a beautiful bouquet of flowers in your guest room upon arrival. Consider expanding with some of our Special Touches & Treats at the bottom of this page!
"Original Sweetheart Special" $59We call this the "Original" because we are doing something that-to the best of our knowledge--no other B&B in the world does! We have many gardens here at the Inn. One of them is our Romance Garden. There is a path leading to the garden, and when you book this package we will order a special brick for you that will proclaim your love (or commemorate any special event) for all time. The brick will have up to three lines engraved into it. You can say, for example, "Bill and Melissa engaged here 9.20.12" or, "Steve and Jill (heart logo) 10.15.12", which would indicate the date of your stay. We will place the brick permanently into the walkway, and will always maintain it. You'll recall these fond memories every time you visit us. If you book well in advance, the brick will be here for you to see! If you order the brick closer to your stay with us, we will send you a photograph of the walkway with your brick, after it has been installed. And of course, you're welcome to come back and see "your" special piece of the walkway to the Romance Garden as often as you like. Get out in the fresh air and enjoy a tasty picnic from Rosalie whether you are on the Appalachian Trail, the Rails to Trails, or dozens of other trails and outdoor locations we can recommend, as well as wonderful spots we've created in our own gardens, just for you! Rosalie tailors the picnic based upon your activity and the season. Great for hiking, biking, cross country skiing, birding, etc. "Culinary Weekend Getaway for Couples"Available any day of the week subject to availability. The class is taught by Rosalie George, your Innkeeper, and author of a new book slated for publication in 2013, "Inn the Kitchen with Rosalie." Rosalie will consult with you to discover your interests, and will design an afternoon course tailored just to you! Perhaps you want to make the perfect cassoulet, or maybe you have never cooked before and want to learn primary kitchen skills-this is your time to have fun and to learn in the process.
