America, a light folk-rock band from London, England, boasted three members barely out of their teens when they became a musical sensation in the early 1970s, scoring numerous #1 hits and winning a Grammy for Best New Musical Artist. Some of America’s best known songs include “A Horse with No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” “Tin Man,” “Lonely People,” “Sister Golden Hair,” and “You Can Do Magic.” Jon Anderson is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable voices in progressive rock as the lead vocalist and creative force behind Yes. Anderson co-authored some of the group’s biggest hits, including “I’ve Seen All Good People,” “Roundabout,” and “Owner Of A Lonely Heart.”
Here is how the class series works: You can take the class as a couple, or just one of you can take the class while the other relaxes at the Inn or goes out on an adventure, such as golfing, hiking, or shopping.
The classes are participatory. Not just a lecture. Everyone is chopping, slicing, dicing, helping, tasting. We taste a lot! Here is the layout: Arrive on (usually) a Friday night, and enjoy a delicious wine and cheese reception to meet your Chef.
The next morning, wake up to a gourmet break-
fast and enjoy the morning on your own.
Then, be ready at 1:00 PM to assemble in the Inn’s kitchen to begin your Cooking Class. Get involved in the whole process as you prepare a gourmet dinner with your chef. The class will be at least four to five hours of tasty fun!
Later Saturday evening, after the class has concluded, you will have time to refresh and prepare to sit down to a gourmet dinner with wine, served to you in our Inn’s dining room, created by you and the Chef—what a terrific evening! Sunday morning, another gourmet candlelit breakfast!
This memorable cullinary experience includes:

TIME: 2:00 PM
The 1959 classic film “Pillow Talk” was the first film pairing of Rock Hudson and Doris Day. Day plays an interior designer forced to share a phone line with Hudson, who is a playboy songwriter. They presume they hate each other, until Hudson sees Day with their mutual friend, played by Tony Randall. Intrigued, he pretends to be a visiting Texan, meets her and sweeps her off her feet. The romantic escapades that arise are screen classics.
“Pillow Talk” was heavily nominated for Academy Award honors, winning the Oscar for Best Writing, Story and Screenplay written directly for the screen.
A concert on the theatre’s historic four-manual Aeolian-Skinner organ precedes the film at 1:30 PM.
We highly recommend coming for the organ concert prior to the film. Going to the “shoe box” cinemas in malls these days leaves a lot to be desired. Going to a classic film at the spectacular Hershey Theatre is an experience, and the organ concert on the Aeolian-Skinner organ, set to rival that of Radio City Music Hall’s….is quite an experience!
And, top off that experience with a wonderful mid-week stay at the Annville Inn Bed and Breakfast, and enjoy five star luxury country estate in the beautiful Lebanon Valley, just minutes from Hershey Theatre.
