Not only is chocolate fun, it is enjoyable to look at! Here at Annville Inn, you can sit in front of a real wood fire in our Garden Room, enjoy quiet conversation, watch birds and other wildlife through the 8′ glass walls that surround you on three sides, or curl up and enjoy your favorite book as the fire crackles. If you like chocolate and other sweets, you might enjoy a trip to the famous Lebanon Farmers’ Market, a huge three story beautifully restored brick structure, which houses an enormous candy and chocolate stand, or walk up a block to Wertz’ Chocolate, whose claim to fame includes the fact they are even older than Hershey’s, they are the site of two editons of “America’s Dirtyest Jobs” (although up to your elbows in warm chocolate while scrubbing out a large vat could be considered fun to some of us!) and a beautiful spread in Better Homes & Gardens magazine. Litiz, the home of the Wilbur Chocolate Company is known worldwide for its baking and cooking chocolate, and their Wilbur Buds. The incredible Hershey Symphony Orchestra, led by Dr. Sandra Dackow, the globe trotting conductor and music director known for her compositions, arrangements, and conducting style that has pleased audiences all over North America, throughout Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. Dr. Dackow, who resides in New Jersey and directs in New York and New Jershey, has been the Music Director of the Hershey Symphony Orchestra for over twenty years!

DESCRIPTION: For more than four decades, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra has entertained music lovers throughout Central Pennsylvania. Comprised of accomplished local musicians, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra is proud to enrich the community with its gift of music. Established in 1969 as a chamber ensemble by a group of musicians at the Hershey Medical Center, the Hershey Symphony has grown to be one of the largest volunteer orchestras in the nation with eighty-plus members from throughout central Pennsylvania, ranging in age from senior citizen to teenager.
Largest indoor agricultural event held in the United States. The Farm Show Complex houses 24 acres under roof, spread throughout 11 buildings including three arenas, which will house carriage events, rodeos, concerts, horse shows, and many more events.

Pennsylvania’s 63,000 farms now presents: The largest indoor agricultural exposition in the country, with nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 290 commercial exhibits. You can be one of 400,000 visitors to attend the 96th Pennsylvania Farm Show and learn about the good work being done on the farm, in the field, in the home and in the classroom, bridging the gap between “farm gate and dinner plate.”
The Farm Show, a long tradition in Pennsylvania, offers exhibitions from Pennsylvania’s maple sugar industry, dairy industry (we’re in the top 5 highest production states in the nation, and Lebanon County, where Annville Inn sits, is one of the state’s top 4 producing dairy counties), and all other facets of agriculture–our state’s number one economic basis.
The PA Farm Show includes approximately 300 Commercial Exhibitors and includes over 13,000 Competitive Exhibits. Everything from draft horses, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits and poultry, to eggs, fruit, christmas trees, apiary products, maple products, nuts, horticultural products, mushrooms, wine, vegetables and many other Pennsylvania products can be seen here.
Attrtactions also include one of the world’s largest butter sculptures. The sculpture changes each year. The 96th Pennsylvania Farm Show butter sculpture honors the 100th anniversary of both the Pennsylvania 4-H and the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs.

Craig, your innkeeper’s husband, was Director of Hershey Gardens during a period of growth and rebirth for the Gardens. We highly recommend a visit to Hershey Gardens, and of course, our own Annville Inn Gardens, a three-acre public garden with 500 roses, which Craig has created. Another famous garden in our area is the world-renown LONGWOOD GARDENS. And, great news!
This time of the year, you are treated to an amazing site for the eyes, and an experience for the soul at Longwood Gardens. Longwood is able to do something none of the other public gardens in our area can do thanks to their enormous conservatories.
